My passion for filmmaking sparked while working at Blockbuster Video (RIP). Those days spent surrounded by countless free rentals (a perk of the job) ignited a creative fire in me that led to Humber College, where I spent three years honing my craft and earning a film degree. The journey didn’t stop there; it was just the beginning.
After graduation, I plunged into the world of freelancing, taking on roles as a videographer, photographer, drone pilot, and sound recordist. From live events to short films and commercials, I've had the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, each one adding a unique layer to my skill belt. The fun of capturing moments and telling stories through the lens became my driving force. But don’t just take my word for it—see it for yourself.
Recently, I had the privilege of documenting the crucial disaster response efforts of Team Rubicon Canada. Witnessing and capturing the selfless work of volunteers aiding homeowners devastated by floods, hurricanes, and wildfires, was a humbling experience. You can see more of my work with them here.
So where does Ranfo Media fit into all this? Well, it started in film school as an idea from observing that, a lot of creative production houses and marketing agencies have a corporate look and feel that looks and feels professional, but lacks the human connection. This is why I created Ranfo Media. I don't just want to shoot a project and call it a day - I want the client and the viewer to go on the journey and experience it. Kind of like going to a really good movie or riding all the best roller coasters in a theme park. It makes you feel something that lingers with you for a while. That's my goal for every one of my projects. I want it to be an experience.
Which brings me to the last menu item. I specialise in videography, video editing, drone content capture, photography, and production sound, bringing a well-rounded and diverse skill set to every project. The next one I’m working on is a travel series called "The Wanderers," which has been years in the making, so stay tuned for that! You can see my CV here.
